Georgian, Russia Speakers Discuss Putin-Saakashvili Talks

Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze held a telephone conversation with Chairman of the Council of Federation of Russia Sergey Mironov on June 7 to discuss the upcoming meeting between the Georgian and Russian Presidents, scheduled for June 13 in St. Petersburg. 
 
Nino Burjanadze stressed that both Russia and Georgia have ?a good chance to launch a process of settlement of accumulated problems.?
 
According to the Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson?s press office, Sergey Mironov also hailed Saakashvili?s initiative to hold this top-level meeting.
 
The two Speakers also welcomed the idea of resuming meetings of the Parliament Speakers of the Caucasus Four ? Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia.
