Tbilisi Mayor, Chief of President’s Administration Visit Moscow

Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava and acting chief of President Saakashvili’s Administration Giorgi Arveladze are paying a visit to Moscow, Georgian media sources reported on August 4.

No official reason for the visit is reported, though media sources speculate that it may be a preparatory visit for a meeting between the Georgian and Russian Presidents which apparently will take place in the Russian city of Kazan on the sidelines of the CIS summit in late August.

Gigi Ugulava served as chief of the Georgian President’s Administration before being appointed Tbilisi Mayor last month.
