Shevardnadze Prepares for Meeting with Putin

(Tbilisi. March 5, 2003. Civil Georgia) – President Shevardnadze postponed the government?s meeting scheduled today. The State Chancellery reports that the reason is Georgian President?s preparation for the meeting with Russian President Putin.

“I do not expect a great success and breakthrough in resolving disagreements from this meeting, but it will be a positive for our [Russo-Georgian] further cooperation,” President Shevardnadze said in his radio interview on March 3.
