Russian President Met with Abkhaz de facto Prime Minister

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Prime Minster of breakaway Abkhazia Raul Khajimba in the southern Russian city of Sochi on August 29, Russian news agency Interfax reported.
 
Putin’s spokesman Aleksey Gromov said, the issue of social assistance for the II World War veterans living in Abkhazia was discussed during a brief meeting.

Raul Khajimba is one of the favorite candidates running for the presidential elections in the unrecognized republic, scheduled for October 3.
