Adjara Approves New Cabinet

The Adjarian Parliament approved on July 30 the proposed four-member cabinet of the Autonomous Republic with 23 votes to 2. The opposition Republican Party voted against the new cabinet.


Minister of Agriculture Eduard Putkaradze, Education Minister Alexandre Gegenava and Economy Minister Alexandre Bezhanidze all retained their posts in the cabinet. 


Koba Khabazi was appointed the Minister of Healthcare while also serving as a deputy to Levan Varshalomidze, who chairs the Adjarian cabinet.
