Labor Party Refuses to Sign Opposition Memorandum
The opposition Labor Party said it would not sign a joint opposition memorandum.
Giorgi Gugava of the Labor Party cited the party’s independent line for not signing.
The nine-party opposition coalition, as well as the New Rights, Industrialists and Party of Future, will sign a joint memorandum on January 29, outlining demands, they say, are aimed at creating fair conditions ahead of the parliamentary elections.
Meanwhile, Labor Party leader Shalva Natelashvili, who ran in the January 5 presidential election, left for Vienna on January 29 for medical treatment. He has heart disease, according to party sources.
