Opposition Claims Intimidation of its PEC Members

Opposition members of precinct election commissions (PEC), specifically in Gori, are being intimidated, Tina Khidasheli of the Republican Party, said. Her party is a member of the nine-party opposition coalition. 

“This trend is especially strong in Gori, where the head of the state department on youth issues [Lado Vardzelashvili] and other local officials are intimidating our representatives at the precincts, even threatening to liquidate them; such a case, in particular, took place at polling station number 51 [in Gori district],” Khidasheli said.
