Tbilisi to Make ‘Black List’ of Russian Politicians

Influential MP Giga Bokeria said on November 17 that the Georgian Foreign Ministry, after consultations with the Parliament, will make ?a black list? of those Russian politicians who will not be granted Georgian entry visas. However, MP Bokeria did not specify who will be on the list.

He said that the decision follows the discovery by the Georgian of a similar ?black list? of Georgian politicians already in use at the Russian Foreign Ministry, which includes Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Defense and Security Givi Targamadze, who is known for his sharp statements about Russian policies.

Russia?s refusal to grant a visa to Targamadze resulted in the Georgian side boycotting the CIS Parliamentary Assembly in St. Petersburg.
