Russian, Abkhaz Ministers Meet

Grigory Karasin, the Russian deputy foreign minister, met with Sergey Shamba, the foreign minister of breakaway Abkhazia, in Moscow on November 14.

?The Georgian-Abkhaz conflict resolution process was discussed in the context of the current internal political situation in Georgia,? the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a press release. ?The Russian side has reaffirmed that only a peaceful negotiating process should be the basis for conflict resolution.?
