Georgian PM Blames Moscow, Tskhinvali of Thwarting JCC

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli blamed Russia and South Ossetian sides of thwarting a session of the Joint Control Commission, which was scheduled for July 17-18 in Tbilisi.

?JCC session was thwarted because of the provocations staged the opposite party? Unfortunately it is already groundless to claim that the JCC is quadripartite,? PM Nogaideli told reporters on July 17.

JCC involves negotiators from the Georgian, South Ossetia, Russian and Russia?s North Ossetia.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on July 16 that the meeting was thwarted because of the July 14 and July 15 provocations involving a brief detention of Russian officials by the Georgian Military Police.
