Burjanadze Meets Russian Envoy

Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze held talks with Russian Ambassador to Georgia Vladimir Chkhikvishvili on June 8 to discuss upcoming meeting between the Georgian and Russian Presidents planned for June 13 in St. Petersburg.
 
?We both expressed hope that the talks between the two Presidents will help solve concrete issues for further improvement of our relations,? Chkhikvishvili told reporters following the talks.
 
He cast doubts that all the disputable issues could be solved during one meeting, ?but certain agreement may be reached.?
 
Burjanadze also met with UN Secretary General?s Special Representative to Georgia Heidi Tagliavini on June 8.
