Russia Says ‘No’ to Transit of Kazakh Gas to Georgia

President of the Georgian International Gas Corporation Davit Ingorokva said on November 29 that Russia has refused to transit Kazakh gas to Georgia. Davit Ingorokva was among those Georgian officials who visited Moscow last week and held talks with Russian energy giant Gazprom.

?Despite the Kazakh sides readiness to deliver about 2 billion cubic meters of gas to Georgia next year at the price of USD 68 [per 1000 cubic meters], Russia said no to our request to transit this gas via its territory,? Davit Ingorokva told Tbilisi-based Imedi radio station on Tuesday.
