U.S. Envoy Met Shevardnadze

U.S. ambassador Richard Miles met with President Shevardnadze to discuss current political crisis in Georgia.

U.S. ambassador reiterated that the authorities and opposition should resolve the problems peacefully.

Ambassador Miles said at a news briefing after the meeting that Lynn Pascoe, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, will visit Georgia on November 18-19 and hold meetings with the authorities and the opposition leaders.
