Georgian Community in New York Protested Fraudulent Elections
Up to 300 Georgians currently living in the United States held a protest rally in New York City on November 16 against of the Georgian authorities.
Protestors demand to cancel the November 2 parliamentary election results and holding new, fair and free elections, otherwise the resignation of president Shevardnadze. The protest rally was held near the United Nations headquarters.
Protesters expressed their firm support for the democratizations taking place in Georgia.
The protest rallies of the Georgians living abroad were held in Hamburg and London as well.
