Protesters Go on Hunger Strike in Zugdidi

Despite the police’s obstruction thirty protesters could enter into the administrative building of the local authorities in the western Georgia town of Zugdidi.

Thirty protesters went on hunger strike inside the administrative building demanding President Shevardnadze’s resignation. 

Four protesters are on hunger strike in Tbilisi demanding cancellation of the November 2 parliamentary elections and resignation of Eduard Shevardnadze.

Four members of the National Movement opposition party also went on hunger strike in a western Georgian city of Kutaisi, protesting against mass ballot fraud by the authorities.
