MPs Ask for Investigation of the Budget Failure

Parliamentary Committee for Tax and Incomes discussed the draft law on amendments into the Law on the Sate Budget for 2001 today.

MPs called for investigation into the causes of failure to fulfill the current budget, before any decision on reduction of expenditures for the 2001 is taken. 

MPs plan to question the responsibility of the Finance Minister, as well as other members of the government.

Transfer of $32 million from IMF is conditional on a decision concerning reduction of budget expenditures.
