Finance Minister Reports on 8,4% GDP Growth

Georgian Finance Minister Lexo Alexishvili said on July 14 that in the first quarter of 2006 the country?s GDP has increased by 8,4% against 5,4% in the first quarter of 2005.


Minister Alexishvili was speaking at the parliamentary session, which has discussed the government?s proposal to increase of budgetary expenditures by GEL 77 million (USD 43,5 million).
 
The Parliament is expected to pass proposal at the session on July 25.
