Parliament’s Inaugural Session Postponed

New Parliament’s first session, scheduled for April 21 was postponed for later date. Exact date of inaugural session is not known yet.


Reportedly President Saakashvili will meet representatives of the ruling National Movement-Democrats party, which gained majority of seats in the new legislative body and discuss issues related to the new Parliament’s activity on April 22.


Nino Burjanadze, Chairman of the outgoing Parliament reiterated on April 20 that discussion of situation in restive Adjarian Autonomy would top agenda of the Parliament.
