Process Launched to Fill Seat on Public TV Board

A competition has been announced on March 2 to fill a vacant seat on the Georgian public broadcaster’s board of trustees, the President’s administration said on Tuesday.

One seat in 15-member board became vacant after a former member, Zurab Kharatishvhili, was elected as a chairman of the Central Election Commission in mid-January.

Potential candidates have to apply within a month. The President, according to the law, will have to select three candidates and then the Parliament has to elect one from those three.
