Murtaz Zodelava has been appointed as the president’s Parliamentary Secretary.
Zodelava previously led the legal office at the General Prosecutor’s Office. He also held a senior position at the Analytical Office of the President’s Administration.
The appointment fills a vacuum following the arrest of the former office holder, Dimitri Kitoshvili, on September 25. Kitoshvili was charged with extortion, but later released in an apparent plea bargaining deal.
