Putin may Meet Saakashvili

A meeting between the Russian and Georgian presidents may take place in August, the Russian ambassador to Georgia, Vyacheslav Kovalenko, said in an interview with Novosti Gruziya news agency.

?There have been talks about a possible meeting of the presidents in August. I don?t rule out that the meeting will be held,? he said, without spelling out further details.

Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Davit Bakradze has confirmed that consultations are on going to lay the groundwork for the presidential t?te-?-t?te.

?However, it hasn?t been decided yet whether this meeting will take place in August or not,? he told journalists on July 27.
