A strong Georgian army is a guarantor of peace and the country?s unity, Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze said on July 19.
The military, according to the parliamentary speaker, exists ?to ensure that nobody tries to ever encroach on or take away our soil.?
?We do not want war, we want peace,? she said, while speaking at the opening ceremony for a newly renovated Ministry of Defense building in downtown Tbilisi.
