Tskhinvali Says Talks Yielded no Results

Talks between South Ossetian and Georgian chief negotiators in Tskhinvali on May 7 yielded no results, as the Georgian side refused to remove additional police checkpoints from the major road in the region, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported.

The Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Merab Antadze was in Tskhinvali to discuss holding a plenary session of the quadripartite negotiating body, the Joint Control Commission (JCC), according to the State Minister?s press office.

The South Ossetian Press and Information Committee said that the meeting had demonstrated once again that the Georgian side was unwilling to compromise in finding a solution.
