Burjanadze, Senior Lawmakers Discuss S.Ossetia Administration

Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze and senior lawmakers from both the ruling majority and opposition parties met on April 2 behind closed doors to discuss a proposal to set up a provisional administration in South Ossetia.

The President has not yet submitted a formal draft proposal to the Parliament for consideration. An initial draft, however, already exists.

?A working draft is prepared but it is early to specify certain details of the document,? MP Pavle Kublashvili of the ruling National Movement party said on April 2.

Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze reiterated on April 2 that the Georgian side is ready ?to have a dialogue with the so called authorities? of both pro-Tbilisi Dimitri Sanakoev and secessionist South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoity.
