Estonia will contribute to peacekeeping operations in the Georgia?s conflict zones if the current peacekeeping formats are changed, Estonia?s Foreign Minister Urmas Paet said at a news conference in Tbilisi after talks with his Georgian counterpart Gela Bezhuashvili on December 18.
He said that Estonia wants to see a ?really adequate international format? for peacekeeping operations.
?And we are working on this issue with our partners in the European Union… I cannot imagine Estonians not participating in this mission. Estonians of course will also be present here, when this format of peacekeeping forces will be changed,? Urmas Paet said.
