Burjanadze Hopeful about Georgia’s NATO Accession

Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze said on November 28 that consultations in Riga on the sidelines of the NATO summit give her reason to claim that Georgia will soon become a member of the alliance.

“Georgia is first in the line of states which will become NATO members in the nearest future, and this message was heard here both in public statements and during the closed-door discussions,” Burjanadze told reporters in Riga.
