S.Ossetia Expects Russian Officials at Kokoity’s Inauguration

High-profile guests and officials from Russia and breakaway Abkhazia and Transdnestria are expected to participate in the inauguration ceremony of Eduard Kokoity, who was re-elected as ‘president’ of South Ossetia in the November 12 elections, Boris Chochiev, deputy prime minister of the unrecognized republic, said.


Russia’s North Ossetian leader Teimuraz Mamsurov, a delegation from the Russian State Duma, and officials from the Russian Foreign Ministry and Moscow Mayor’s Office will be among the guests, Chochiev said.


Meanwhile, the inauguration ceremony of Dimitri Sanakoev, who won the so-called alternative presidential elections in breakaway South Ossetia, will apparently be held on November 27.
