Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin met with Abkhaz leader Sergey Bagapsh in Moscow on November 20, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister said during the talks that Russian diplomats will hold meetings in Tbilisi and Sokhumi in the near future in order to assist in the resolution of the Abkhaz conflict.
The Abkhaz leader reiterated Sokhumi?s readiness to resume a dialogue with Tbilisi once the Georgian side withdraws its troops from upper Kodori Gorge and refrains from using military rhetoric and provocative actions.
