Defense Minister Visits Brussels

Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Okruashvili participated in the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC) meeting at the level of Defense Ministers, which was held at NATO Headquarters in Brussels on June 8, the Georgian Defense Ministry reported.
 
In his speech Okruashvili focused on two major issues ? Georgia?s achievements in reforming its defense system within the framework of Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) and necessity to move to the next stage of NATO-Georgia relationship – Intensified Dialogue.
 
According to the Georgian Defense Ministry, Okruashvili also plans to hold bilateral meetings with number of Defense Ministers of NATO member and partner states. Meetings will also be held within the framework of GUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova).
