President of breakaway Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh said on April 11 that Abkhazia is ready to create a preferential tax system and to offer ?softened? taxes for Russian businessmen who invest in the unrecognized republic, RIA Novosti news agency reported.
Sergey Bagapsh was speaking at the Abkhazia 2005 ? Construction, Architecture, New Technologies conference which opened in the Abkhaz capital Sokhumi on Monday and in which dozens of Russian construction firms are reportedly participating.
Bagapsh also said that Abkhazia is ready ?to reconsider border crossing and customs [rules], as well as to create all necessary conditions for investment.?
