IMF Mission Visits Georgia

Mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Paulo Neuhaus, Assistant Director in the European II Department, arrives today in Georgia to evaluate the country?s fiscal situation.

According to the Georgian Finance Ministry the issues of implementation of the 2003 budget and evaluation of the 2004 draft budget will be in the top of the agenda during the visit of the IMF mission.

According to the Georgian authorities the IMF decided last week to restore programs in Georgia from 2004.
