(Tbilisi February 24, 2003. Civil Georgia) – In his Monday radiobroadcast Georgian President urged for importance of creation of the two-chamber Parliament and conduction of fair and democratic Parliamentary elections.
?Formation of the two-chamber Parliament would improve relations between the executive and the legislative bodies of the government. The Senate would be a mediator between these two governmental bodies,? President Shevardnadze said.
He also said that the reduction of number of MPs is also necessary.
