Romanian Defense Minister Visits Georgia

(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, December 3, 2002) – Ioan Mircea Pascu, Romanian Defense Minister arrives in Georgia today, Georgian Defense Ministry reports.

Romanian defense chief will hold meeting with his Georgian counterpart Davit Tevzadze and Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze.

Georgian defense officials say that close relations with Romania, which has officially received invitation for the NATO membership, becomes especially important for Georgia.
