PM Pledges ‘Objective, Transparent’ Handling of Case Against Saakashvili

PM Irakli Garibashvili said on July 31 legal proceedings against ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili would be “objective and transparent.”

“The most important is that we will be maximally transparent and objective. I’ve already released a statement on the issue and I do not want to make additional comments,” he said.

Garibashvili made the remarks with journalists after attending military drills at Vaziani outside Tbilisi, which involved 17 T-72 battle tanks, 2 ground attack aircraft Su-25 and artillery systems.

“After watching our hero soldiers… I don’t want to comment on former president Saakashvili,” Garibashvili said. “Objective investigation will respond him.”
