(Tbilisi, May 21, Civil Georgia) – After June 2 elections, Zhvania’s team is going to establish United Democraic Front of the political forces. As Zhvania stated at today’s press conference, this Front will unite those, who want to confront the current government.
But before the elections, Zhvania’s supporters will act underthe banners of the “Christian Conservative” party.
Yesterday, late evening, Tbilisi District Court adopted a decision, according to which the Central Elections Commission is instructed to register team of supporters of Levan Mamaladze under the lists of the Citizens Union party.
“Yesterday’s decision by the Court is a result of one phone call from President Shevardnadze, by which he has finally crushed the constitution and violated all the laws. I am sure, that with such government none of the citizens would ever find justice” – Zhvania stated.
According to his words, though his suppporters were defeated by this decision, “the society clearly saw the reason, why did we chose to break off from this rotten and corrupt government”.
