Chief of Belarus Security Agency Visits Tbilisi

Head of Belarus State Security Committee, Valery Vakulchik, who is visiting Tbilisi, met head of Georgia’s State Security Service Vakhtang Gomelauri.

An agreement on cooperation between the security agencies of the two countries in fighting transnational organized crime and terrorism was signed, the Georgian State Security Service said on August 25.

During the meeting Gomelauri and Vakulchik “discussed situation in the region and stressed the importance of bilateral relations between Georgia and Belarus in the field of security,” the Georgian State Security Service said.
