Bidzina Baratashvili, the executive director of Imedi TV, has said the television station “plans to resume” news in late June.
In a brief interview with the Georgian daily Rezonansi, published on June 9, Baratashvili, however, cautioned that resumption depended on there being no technical problems. “We have been promised the necessary technical support,” Baratashvili added.
Imedi TV resumed partial broadcasts in early May, but without news coverage; movies and TV series constitute its output.
