Abkhaz leader Sergey Bagapsh said that ongoing large-scale military exercises in the breakaway region are not linked to tensions around the Kodori Gorge, Apsnipress news agency reported.
?These were planned exercises. Our armed forces should be ready for repelling any possible aggression, either from mountains, sea or air,? Abkhaz leader Sergey Bagapsh told reporters on September 26.
The military exercises, which were launched on September 24, will be wrapped up on September 26.
