GUAM Ministerial Planned in New York

The Foreign Ministers from GUAM member states ? Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Moldova ? will gather in New York on September 25 on the sidelines of the 61st Session of the UN General Assembly to discuss conflicts in the GUAM area, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.


The participants will also focus on issues of cooperation between GUAM and other countries and international organizations, and will elect a Secretary General for the organization.


According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, a meeting is also planned between GUAM and the U.S. The U.S. delegation will apparently be led by Undersecretary of State Daniel Fried.
