CEC Rechecks Voter Lists

Special groups set up by the Central Election Commission (CEC) started visiting families door-to-door on August 23 in order to check lists of registered voters in Georgia.


A total of 3 000 special groups, each consisting of nine members, will check the voter lists, which currently include 3,2 million voters.The list checks will continue for the next 20 days.


Each special group consists of three non-partisan members selected through competition, and two representatives from each of the three political parties: ruling National Movement, opposition New Rights and Labor.
