Dimitri Sanakoev, the head of the Tbilisi-backed provisional administration of South Ossetia, left for Finland on October 10; he will be accompanying President Saakashvili who is paying an official visit to the Nordic country.
The visit is part of Tbilisi?s efforts to promote the Georgian-backed South Ossetian provisional administration internationally, at the expense of the de facto authorities in Tskhinvali, whom Tbilisi maintains, do not have the backing of the local population.
