The cabinet, with some new would-be ministers, met on August 31 to discuss a new programme expected to be submitted to the parliament on Saturday.
The submission of a new programme is a formal procedure required when a new cabinet seeks approval from the parliament. Ministers said after the meeting that no major changes were expected in the programme. “It might be just a matter of details,” Kakha Bendukidze, the state minister in charge of reforms, said on August 31. Parliament is expected to discuss the reshuffled cabinet on September 7.
