Georgian Prime Minister to Visit Czech Republic

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli will begin a three-day working visit to the Czech Republic on June 11.


He plans talks with his counterpart, Mirek Topol?nek, as well as executives from the Czech state-run Export Bank, according to the Georgian PM’s press office.


The bank acts as financial guarantor for the Czech company, Energo-Pro, which has become the leading electricity distributor in Georgia this year, with control of 62.5% of the country?s electricity market.

A possible deal on the purchase of Czech military aircraft by Georgia may also be discussed during the visit.
