Deputy Assistant to U.S. Vice President Visits Georgia

Joseph R. Wood, U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney?s Deputy Assistant for National Security Affairs, visits Georgia on May 27-29, the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi reported. 


During the visit, Wood will hold talks with President Saakashvili, Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli, as well as Ministers of Economy, Foreign Affairs and Defense.


Georgia?s contribution to Operation Iraqi Freedom, U.S. support of Georgia?s NATO membership and Georgia?s ongoing reforms will be discussed.
