Burjanadze Meets Government Officials over Property Issues

Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze is meeting government officials, including State Minister for Economic Reforms Kakha Bendukidze and the president?s Parliamentary Secretary, Dimitri Kitoshvili, to discuss a draft law on private property.

?The draft law will be simple, because, on the one hand, property that was purchased illegally should be revealed and legalized, and on the other hand, all further procedures should be prohibited,? MP Pavle Kublashvili of the National Movement told Rustavi television.

The necessity for such a draft law has emerged as a result of frequent cases of violations of property rights within the past few months.
