Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gregory Karasin met with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Dan Fried on April 23 to discuss developments in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
?Issues relating to the Georgian-Abkhaz and Georgian-Ossetian conflicts were also discussed,? the Russian Foreign Ministry said in its press release.
