Tbilisi to Host Energy Conference

Tbilisi will host sixth Georgian International oil, Gas, Infrastructures and Energy (GIOGIE) conference on March 22-23 which will gather senior officials from Azerbaijani, Kazakhstan, Turkey and the United States, according to the Georgian National Investment Agency (GNIA).


The annual conference will focus on potential for oil and gas transportation via Georgia and cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Ukraine in this regard.


Issues related with potential investments into Georgia?s infrastructure, including ports, railway, telecommunications and insurance are also expected to be discussed at the conference, according to the state investment agency.
