Mine Blast Injures Two Russian Peacekeepers in S.Ossetia
Two Russian peacekeepers were injured after their vehicle hit a mine in the South Ossetian conflict zone on January 15, Georgian, Russian and South Ossetian sources said.
The incident, which was described by the breakaway South Ossetian Foreign Ministry as ?an act of sabotage,? took place near the village of Tliakana.
Commander of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces in the South Ossetian conflict zone Marat Kulakhmetov told RIA Novosti news agency that the peacekeepers? were on patrolling mission.
He said the soldiers? injures were not life threatening.
