PACE Monitors in Moscow over Russo-Georgian Tensions

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin met with Matyas Eorsi and Luc Van den Brande ? rapporteurs from the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) in charge of monitoring Georgia – in Moscow on November 29.
 
Discussions focused on Russian-Georgian tensions and the possibility of raising this issue at the PACE session in January 2007, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
 
The PACE monitors? visit to Moscow follows a trip to Tbilisi, where they listened to Georgian officials’ and opposition politicians? arguments about the current tensions with Russia.
