Kokoity Sets Conditions for Top-Level Talks

South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoity said on October 30 that he is ready to meet with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili in ?a third country? and on the condition that an agreement on the non-use of force will be signed.

?The major condition of this meeting should be the signing of a document on the non-resumption of hostilities and on the non-use of force between Georgia and South Ossetia,? Interfax news agency reported, quoting Eduard Kokoity.

Tbilisi says it will sign this agreement only after the internationalization of the peacekeeping operation in South Ossetia.

The Georgian side has offered to hold top-level talks in Georgia?s ski resort of Bakuriani.
